The movie by Michele Placido opens the Festival of Italian Cinema in London.
An Italian company bought by a French multinational. The workers envisage the loss of their jobs and are surprised when the new owners ask them only to give up 7 minutes of their lunch break. They have a couple of hours to decide if they want to accept or refuse. That’s the plot of ‘7 Minutes‘ by Michele Placido, with Cristiana Capotondi, Ottavia Piccolo, Fiorella Mannoia, the opening movie of Cinema Made in Italy, from 2 to 5 March at Cine Lumiere London.
What looks a simple request hides consequences much deeper and the 11 women representing the company’s workers face their fears, their dreams, their braveness.
