We don’t know if this is a really good news. Many Italian commuter would say it isn’t. But Trenitalia has acquired the British company NXET (National Express Essex Thameside), who runs train in South East of England, in particular London-Shoesburyness.
NXET serves 42 million passengers per year along 26 stations and has a fleet of 74 Bombardier trains.
Trenitalia made the acquisition through Trenitalia UK. NXET has 600 staff and a turnover of 200 million euros.
Customer care and punctuality have been so far one of the asset of NXET. Will Trenitalia be able to keep up the good job?
